Mazara del Vallo, Santissimo Salvatore

Mazara del Vallo Cathedral is home of an ancient wooden Cross, dating back to the XIIth century. On the front, it shows Jesus Christ, on the back the Agnus Dei and the symbols of the four evangelists.

The marble Transfiguration, combination of six statues and made in 1532 by Antonello Gagini, was our inspiration for the creation of custom silver-plated tiles.

The set

Liturgical set in hand-woven silk and silver lurex composed by main chasuble, mitre, dalmatics and cope.

The vestments are decorated with silver passementerie, custom embroideries and a silver-plated tile representing Antonello Gagini’s Transfiguration.
