Conservative restoration of a Roman chasuble and its stole made of crimson silk satin from the end of the XIXth Century.
The intervention went through the following phases: dust removal and partial disassembly of the vestments. The previous mendings haven’t been touched in order not to ruin the back fabric.
The ruined metallic embroideries have been secured. Restoration of the back fabrics by technical stitches.
Restoration of the perimetrical passementerie.
