The project

The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Agatha is a baroque structure dating from the fifteenth century, exactly between the years 1629 and 1696, in the historic center of Gallipoli.

Inside the basilica there’s a collection of paintings by artists of the ‘600 and ‘700, and a walnut ceiling carved by hand that frames the works.

Liturgical set composed by:

  • Celebrant chasuble

hand-woven smooth silk fabric. The pallium was created taking inspiration from the ceiling of the Cathedral: the geometry of the painting that depicts “The Glory of Saint Agatha“, alternates with that of the frescoes above the altar. All decorated with the addition of crystals and studs.
