Intervention of conservationist restoration of a double sided processional standard from the first quarter of the seventeenth century. The subjects: Circumcision of baby Jesus; Agnus Dei

The methods of realization, the dimensions, the custody and the fruition of the good are among the main causes that have affected the state of conservation of the artifact.

The mechanical and environmental stresses, activated during the periods of exposure and use have caused widespread and different phenomena of physical and mechanical degradation on silk already weakened by time.

Restoration phases:

  • Cleaning of embroidery and background fabric
