Atelier Sirio decided to open a Restoration Laboratory in order to meet the rising demand of protecting the textile articles heritage.
During the years we’ve been taking care of textile articles coming from different places, both from private collections and frompublic ones, linked to the Soprintendenza di Beni Storici e Artistici. Every restoration work starts from an historical approach, goes through a deep study of the conservation status of the single materials composing the cultural asset and then flows into an intervention project. All the intervention phases are carefully described in a final report, supported by graphic and photographic documentation.
The great care of hour Cultural Heritage lead our Restoration Lab into a conservative restoration policy, whose final aim is to preserve the original materials of the work in order to preserve its original life.
