The project originates from the painting by Luigi Tagliaferri dated 1896, which depicts the Virgin Mary Assumption in Heaven above the high altar. The scene is surrounded by decorative frames whose geometries have been reproduced inside the chasuble.
Liturgical set composed by:
Chasuble in cotton/viscose/lurex fabric in antique gold color.
Stolons, neck and side bands in gold tones made with: Trimmings woven by manual loom, embroideries and laminated fabrics.
The project was born from two paintings on the ceiling of the church.
The two paintings have been graphically elaborated in such a way to create a harmonious geometric pattern
The gold trimmings have been hand-woven, then cut by laser machine and joined to the fabrics laminated with embroidery. Everything was hand-made
